"I was educated locally in Bedford and have
an Honours Degree in Law from London University. I trained as a
Solicitor with a large and local firm of Solicitors and I have always
worked in or around Bedford. I am involved in various aspects of
community life having served a number of years as a Borough Councillor,
in the past as a Governor of a junior and upper school and am presently
a Governor of a junior Church school. I have served in the past
as the Chairman and President of a local cricket club and I am currently Chairman of another. I am also the Vice Chairman of the Bedford committee of the Save the
Children Fund.
I am head of both the Commercial and Residential Property Departments
and in addition to dealing with and supervising all aspects of residential property
matters, I also deal with commercial property, including
company and partnership formations, business start ups, transfers and partnership
dissolution plus other aspects of commercial work and all
aspects of licensing law. My particular interest is in Hotels, Restaurants
and the catering industry generally.
I am a past President of the Bedfordshire
