It is very tempting to put off making a Will, because none of us want to think about life ending. However, if you die without making a Will, your estate is goverened by the rules on intestacy. These can mean that your spouse or civil partner may not inherit the whole of your estate - Even worse, if you are co-habiting, your partner may have to go to court to receive any financial assitance from your estate.

It is therefore important to draw up a Will to ensure that your loved ones will be looked after as you would wish them to be. At Sharman Law one of our specialist, experienced team will meet with you to discuss your circumstances and to make sure that the Will we prepare for you is appropriate for your requirements.

We always advise our clients that a Will should be regularly reviewed to reflect changing circumstances. These include marriage and civil partnership, divorce, the birth of children and grandchildren, or any other change in your financial situation.

We can also assist in drawing up Lasting Powers of Attorney which give you the opportunity to appoint someone to look after your money and affairs in case illness or disability restricts your ability to handle them yourself.

Our team of Probate specialists deals with the administration of many estates and inheritance tax issues. We will advise Executors appointed to deal with the estate of a deceased friend or relative and we will help the family of those who die without a Will to sort out the consequences of intestacy.

We also provide home, hospital and care home visits upon request.

Above all we pride ourselves on our service - please see some of our comments from satisfied clients:
